Default Broke JWIS Timing Chain

Has anybody else broke one? what is the best timing chain setup for the LS1.I also had the 7.350 Chrome moly push rods and bent 7 valves Superficial damage to the pistons luckily. I was looking for a Hrdra-rev kit for the LS1.

I had not heard anything but good things about the Jwiss until now.

For your replacement try a search. Here is a thread that I started a while back:

What timing gears were you running? The main problem w/ the stock setup is that the gears allow for too much slop in the chain, which contributes to it breaking. Also, what pulley did you have on the car?

I am running a Katech. They build Lemans C5r Engines so they can't be all that bad.

I've never heard of those chains breaking, but obviously it can be done. Try a SDPC double roller this time around. If you break that, you've got other problems Its actually a Rollmaster chain. What cam and springs are you running and what was the engine doing when it broke?

I just put a double roller on mine that I got form SDPC for under $100. That thing is a beast. My stock timing set looks like a paper plate in comparison.
