Diamond R-Series Pistons
I saw these from a few places pop up over the last couple of months, but of course, Diamond's webpage has squat on them. But their Facebook page provided a link to the 2017 Catalog a few weeks back and now the R-Series appears there.
Apparently, they include the piston rings now (1.2/1.5/3mm or 1.2/1.2/3mm rings that are Total Seal AP Stainless Top Rings in some applications), moly coated side skirts, .250" ringland depth, and decent .185" wrist pins. Also, have the option of going to H13 Tool Steel Wrist Pins as an upgrade.
The pricing is also very good on these.
I'm now looking at the 11503-R1 for my build and the pricing is under $900 for the set with the H13 wrist pins.
Just thought I'd share for anyone looking for another piston option.

Bumping this back up because this is the piston I just decided to go with in my dart 388 build. Surprised I don’t see more people using them. They’re a very nice piston for a great price. They’re basically the same price as other standard forged pistons after you add the price of an upgraded pin to them.
my builder told me they come standard with the coating and .250 wall H13 pin.
These are are also known as the LS2K pistons because diamond rates then to 2,000 hp.
