Do you rember the size/grit dingo ball you ran through it if i go that route.

I'm going that route and picked up a set of Mahle rings from Summit for ~$40, PN 41859CP. It's a nice set with a Moly faced steel top ring, napier style second ring, and stainless oil rings. With the Moly faced rings, the Flex Hone rep I spoke with recommended the 320 grit, PN GB41832, which pretty much covers any bore size from the 4.8/5.3L to the LS7. Summit has them in stock for ~$56.

Takes a few minutes to suck it dry. Using a bore scope, the carbon buildup is significantly reduced. Compression tests almost always yield better results, which is a sign that it helps with stuck rings.
I put used ATF through the engine the same way. It really cleans the gunk and frees up the rings. A gallon or so will smoke out the whole block.
