Bore X Bore X Stroke X .7854 X Number of cylinders = C.I.D.

In your case I come up with 387.23 inches!

All you're really doing is calculating the volume of one cylinder and then multipling that by the total number of cylinders. The volume of a cylinder is height times the area of one end. The area of one end is just the area of a circle, or pi*r**2. Since the bore is diameter instead of radius, you have to divide it by 2. Factoring out the 2 from the squared term, you get 4. pi/4 = .7854. I just thought you might want to know where that formula came from.

Ok that makes sense, my problem was that I was in fact doing pi*r^2 x height(stroke), and I was using the diameter of the bore instead of the radius and coming up with like 7000ci, which obviously wasnt right.

Thanks for the info again!

Or you can just take the easy way out and go here.
