high oil pressure after rebuilding engine ?
hello guys this is my first post there and i hope you guys help me .
2 months ago , i got my 2006 caprice LS1 gen III engine completely rebuild and car was running super fine . After 500 km i did oil change but not filter change . Few days later i got CEL throwing P0523 high oil pressure ,so i changed filter but no change .then i changed oil sensor and then code was gone . So , today after 3 weeks P0523 is again on dash and also i saw oil on intake manifold(around injectors) i dont know from where it comes .when ignition is on but engine is off computer scans and ok no error then turn engine on CEL comes . Car has new gaskets , seals and piston rings even oil pump is new(not sure which brand but new) . Car has no overheating , coolant losing issue but since that oil change car started misfiring/twitching at idle . I dont think its bad oil relief valve as oil pump is brand new . car did not have oil pressure gauge on dash.
Note : engine is completely stock .

Unless you performed the work yourself it might be better for you to pose the question to your builder.
Do you have an oil pressure gauge so you know what pressures are actually being created?
