Default What cam to go in ls1gto?? Currently has btr 4 but is to big with new heads

Hello there finally I decided to become a member after reading alot only. Well question I have is what cam to go other than Brian tooley btr 4. My setup is 2004 5.7l ls1 gto m6. Consists for sbe, 799 heads ported and polished with stock cc. Stock ls6 Intake. Last awespeed otr intake. Car rn is speed density tuned. Problem I'm having is when I bolt on my new 799 heads to check ptv, both intake and exhaust valves touch my piston. I have no room. U have no clue what cam would be Good for my setup. Car is street strip car .

Something is wrong with the cam or your set up. You should have plenty of clearance with stock heads

Yea I know the next day I took timing cover off to see if it was set for to dot which is. Also I had no clearance with my 241s I saw the valve touching q but on pistons.

The BTR Stage IV will be tight, but if the heads aren't ported and you're running a stock thickness head gasket then you should not have PTV issues. There are many camshafts available from us or other vendors here, but going smaller will have its effects. If we can help at all please let me know.
