Default 4.8 lifter break down

I have a 2009 4.8 silverado that the lifters have failed. I want to replace the cam and lifters with a mild replacement... with that said I don't want to put headers and all that crap on. I just want a little more low end torque for pulling a trailer, boat on occasion

I am pretty sure the LS7 are stock replacement lifters. A good cam for your engine would be the BTR Stage 1 Truck Cam, the Comp XR259, Cam Motion Stage 2 or around those specs. Cam motion also has the Stage 1 for the 4.8 but it would not be much of a difference. I would say max of 212 of the exhaust and minimum of 200 in the intake. Stock is 190/191

We have the ls7 lifters and install kit and quite a few cams that wilm fit your build perfectly. $515 gets you a custom truck torque cam and beehive drop in springs. $99 for the ls7 lifters and the complete heads and cam install kit is $255
The install kit includes
Head bolts - stock style tty
Head gaskets - mls hd
Valve cover gaskets
Valve stem seals
Exhaust manifold gaskets - mls
Front cover gasket
Front cover seal
Water pump gaskets
Crank bolt
3 bolt 4x cam gear
Thrust plate with tapered bolts

You can also add in new metal/oring hd intake gaskets that are MUCH better than stock for $45 extra. They are normally $75+ at your local parts store.

That is a complete kit of everything you woukd need. You can also add an ls2 chain for $38 but your truck already has the ls2 chain on it so youd only be replacing it with a new chain. You oil pump should be fine as well BUT we have a hi flo oil pump also for $70. The normal gm pumps run $80+.

As you can see there are a few options and a few std necessary parts.

Please let us know if we can be of any other help!

Oh ya, our cam Specs would be 215/219 .600/.600 112+2. It would be ALOT of fun to drive and have a very mellow idle.
