Default rear steam vent

I bought this engine out of a 2003 chevy truck, 3500, rebuilt it and took the heads to a rebuild shop and the combustion chamber in every hole but one was cracked between the intake and exhaust valve. these heads did not have the cross over on them, when I bought the set of rebuilt heads, 317 castings, the holes were not pluged and I didn't notice. when I put the water in the water came out of the holes in the heads. should I plug them or use the cross over steam vent and tie it into the front one. Does anyone sell a kit to plug the rear steam vents off. any help will be appreciated, by the way, gm discointed the steam vents, not for sale by gm anymore, onlly aftermaket., thks in advance for your advise

You can plug them or buy a used cross over. The discussion is endless about the difference, but it's use is really just a steam vent, or pressure vent. New v8's from chevy have the rears capped
