Default 5.3 Stroker motor in 2002 Trans am

Has any one had any luck lowering the rack and pinion to gain clearance for stroker oil pan on a 2002 Trans am? I had to get the deeper stock pan for the pick up tube and the windage tray to clear the crank throws and connecting rods. now I don't have enough clearance between the bottom of the oil pan and the rack mounts . I found a lower k member and thought it was the solution but their tech guy said the new tube k member locates the rack in the factory position. how about the Holly 302 pan ? but I don't see how it would clear the windage tray any better unless they design it into the pan. any help would be appreciated

What rotating assembly and windage tray? How much did you have to space it out?

I suspect something is goofy there. I have a 4.250" stroke combo and I got an OEM Fbody tray and Moroso Fbody pan and pickup tube to fit. It needed three .070" thick washers and some hammering and cutting, but it fits.

I don't think a holley 302 pan wI'll work with that stroke....I had to cut 25% of my windage tray to fit ...but that's what the instructions said..and I've got a stock crank
