the upper left one was the worst of the bunch.....next to it was one that had the imprint of individual bearings

I put the trunions in when i bought the car at 119k ...now over 200k and I am switching to the bushing kit.....I know many others have shown worse off than these....could it be my use of mobil 1 0-40 euro formula since I have owned it and a filter mag on the filter ??

Pretty good for 100K! You a) installed them correctly, plus b) changed oil frequently with GOOD oil, and c) NEVER revved above 6000rpm.
Am I close??
Some of the trunnions are scuffed, but for the mileage look really good!
Edit- this was written before the last post above was posted

Your maintenance was ON IT! Yeah, changing synthetic at 3K is overkill IMO. And the filters are cheap insurance. I think the highway miles were good for it too; everything stays well-oiled at those speeds. Thanks for the report!
Oh yeah, the magnets are a good idea too!

It's not that the comps don't work, it's that they are a downgrade over stock arms. My 140k mile stock ones had zero wear, 60k of that was with my f13 cam

How was the side to side wiggle of the trunion in the rocker arms?

I recently upgraded to the CHE trunions, they are a great piece

It also depends on the cam and valve springs. If those Comps have 100,000 miles on them, you must have very soft valve springs.

That's what's been told here more than not. NO noise or odd signs. Then during a teardown for whatever reason, the damage is quite apparent.
Of course you have to wonder how much longer it can actually survive this way. OR how long yours have already been scuffed to any degree.

I don't know about that, I'll take that little bit of wear with the Comp trunions over the needles falling out like my stock ones did.

Yes. If your engine is an LS1, your cam has .496 lift and 202/210 duration. All aftermarket cams are bigger in lift and duration. Your springs are barely strong enough to support the stock cam. Many cams now have close to or over .600 lift and 220 or more duration with a lift curve harsher than stock, needing much tougher springs. Such springs would have been much harder on the trunnion bearings and trunnion itself, meaning a much shorter life than yours had
