Default Ls1 knocking

I just bought a 2001 camaro ss ls1 with 82,000 miles. Drove it 60 miles with no problems sounded good then yesterday I hit the ASR button and turned it back on not sure if that can cause something to make a knocking noise. Also the guy I got it from said there's something wrong with the parking brake. I changed the oil and oil filter and didn't see any signs of metal or anything. Any idea what it could be thank you.

Your post is missing some information that will make it hard to diagnose. Did the knock start when you turned the traction control back on? Did it always knock? Top or bottom of motor? A video or sound recording would help a ton.

I turned traction control on and off just to see if everything works then shut the car off then the next day I started to notice it. It's hard to hear over video by I'll try to take one. Thanks for the response

Cant tell if it's a pushrod, lifter, injector or exhaust leak. Oil is clean and oil pressure is where it's supposed to be.

Hard to tell if it is a lifter or rod. Grab a long screwdriver or a mechanic stethoscope and check different areas of the block until you find it at its loudest.

I cut open the oil filter and no signs of metal. Also there are small bubbles in the oil on the dipstick can all that knocking be from a bad oil pump o ring?

Oring can makes the engine knock like hell, if its full of air the lifters will be noisy. You can try what I've done to all my Ls1 cars, add a fews ozs of TransX , won't hurt a thing and may sell the oring enough so it seals the air out.
