It is finally confirmed. Now that I have pressure on the cooling system I'm getting a wet spark plug. If i loosen the cap immediately after shutting it down then that plug is dry. In the garage I have a 5.3 with 5,000 miles on it that I only intend to use the short block on another project so those heads will end up on our burb.

I still find it crazy that it will hold system pressure all day and then again all night but yet she is leaking. It must be barely leaking or a small crack.

If I'm being lazy and it's a cheap truck I would try some blue devil head gasket sealer to see if it makes any difference. It's not going to make a difference though if that cylinder head is cracked

Lady crying selling you a suburban with a cracked radiator and over heating problem makes me chuckle. People like that around me always think their crappie trucks are worth 5 grand because "it's a great car".

Pantera great job trolling another thread with random info

She didn't think that it was a goldmine. We only paid $800 for it. It could easily pass for 100k less miles that the 250k that it has. I 'm going to fix it right, it will be worth it to us.
