Default Heads and cam set up

I can't decide on what cam to pick, either ms4 or ms3 from texas speed or BRT stage 4 cam from Brian tooley, I also have stock 5.3 heads that I want to get ported, but need some recommendations, i can't decide between tony mamo or texas speed. I am looking for the most hp n/a for now. All this is going in my 2000 camaro, mods are 4l80e swap with 4k stall from yank and fast 102 mm intake with Holley sniper tb, slp lid, pacesetter headers and borla exhuast

I have the Texas Speed 5.3 heads and a cam almost identical to the MS3. For older style budget setup I have no complaints at all

Not sure but based on how it runs I'd say right around 450 rwhp

ive ran a ms3 cam for a short amount of time (lifters failed and ate it) but if I was looking for another max effort cam I would go with BTR, ive seen nothing but great things from them, and definetly get the BTR .660 springs with titanium retainers to run with whichever cam you choose.

Texas Speed, Brian Tooley and Mamo are all great and you can't go wrong with any of them. I have used products from all 3 and they are top notch.

All the cams you have listed will produce about the same power. I like the MS3 or BTR4 personally. I had an MS3 for years. Great top end cam.

I would contact each of them and see what their recommendations are for your goals and keeping it within your budget.

TSP cams are on new proprietary lobes that are much easier on the valve train. So the updated MS3 should be much better in that regard compared to the older XER lobe variant.

Go with Mamo if budget is very loose, best money can buy right there hands down, but you will pay.

IMO Tick Performance and BTR are on pretty close playing fields with their cam designs. I have gone with Tick on my build and I am pretty close to putting down 500whp on a sbe ls6.

TEA ported 5.3 heads/TFS 220s with a BTR cam is very hard to beat money wise.
