Default Rocker arms & pushrods

I pulled a donor motor apart to change the head gaskets. I found 3 egged push rods at the top end.

My buddy has a 6.0 the same year for parts. Are the rocker arms and push rods the same?

Also, anyone have an idea why this would happen?

Thx

Shannon

All Gen III OEM rockers and pushrods are the same. Pushrods should be 7.4".
By "egged" do you mean bent?

thx. No the ends arent round anymore. The polish is gone and the wear has made the ball egg shaped.

Sounds like poor maintenance, like few/no oil changes. I would then be suspect of everything else on the engine. Not saying unusable, but likely everything very tired and worn.

Ya , found wear on the cam lifters.

New cam and lifters going in, timing chain and pump. new cam bearings and mains and rods. Micro polish on the crank . New rings and a replacement set of rebuilt heads.

It Ran good when I bought it. But it sure does not look as good inside as it sounded. The oil was clean. I picked up a donor truck for $750. It was written off with a bent frame. But at least the trany is rebuilt.

So still not behind I guess. I got the computer and harness as well, and the cruise control components to go into my camino.

Well, you're doing the right thing. Sometimes a worn out POS will run smooth and quiet, but likely be very low on power. By freshening it all up, you will now know what you have, and can depend on it.
