Default Help

I know yall hate these threads. I'm looking to add heads, cam, exhaust and if needed intake to my '02 Hawk (m6). But when it comes to understanding what I need it's just over my head and when trying to read the stickies. plus I run into the problem that most of them are 10+ years old and a lot has happened to the market in that time.

Is there an updated dummies guide to ls1 HP/TQ?

If I can be so bold as to ask. What are some of the recommended parts/mods?

I'm looking for streetable (not a pain go for a cruise/small trip or to take to work) and not a 60' torque monster or a dyno queen.

*edit* forgot to add I cant to respond to this during work hours.

Lets say 3.5k. I'm not going to nickel and dime, but I'm not going to buy the gold plated option

Fair enough. Considering that you want to do a total exhaust as well, its going to limit the heads and cam option on that budget. You will also need to set aside around 500 or so for tuning. With that said I'd keep your LS6 intake and get a set of used 243 heads. If you rather buy a complete kit you could check out places like Texas Speed and Thompson Motorsports. Of course this will cost more, but if the budget allows it may be a better option for you
