Default Will this cam work?

I am sending my 243 heads to TSP for stage 1 pnp and mulled to 60cc heads, running a .048 head gasket. Wondering if I’ll have enough clearance for comp cams 54-459-11 I’ll list specs

duration 281/289
durstion at .050 232/239
lift 617/624
lsa 113

Even if everyone on this board "thinks" it might be ok, you still need to check clearance just for piece of mind.

I realize that. I’m asking people who build these cars and have maybe more or less cam on a similar set up if it should clear, before I spend $500 on a cam, that when installed to check clearance cannot be returned.

- Prc 243's milled .030"
- .040" head gasket
- 239/244 .635"/.610" 112+3

I had .040" clearance on the intake
.065" on the exhaust

i called Texas speed today and they suggested I go .025 off the heads for 61cc for optimal clearance.

You should ask TSP this question. With a 60cc chamber and 4 degrees advance in that particular cam it should clear, but by how much I have no idea

Marengo yours ported by TSP? They sink the balances as part of the port job.

wierd I’ll measure when I get them. .048 is compressed thickness, not the thickness out of the box. Dunno why Felpro would sell .051 and .048 listings if they are the same.
