Default Heads, rocker, and fuel selection

I discovered my 99 Z had a rocker arm fail, resulting in loss of one set of the bearings. My mistake for not upgrading them with everything else. I do not know how long the motor ran with the malfunctioning rocker, but the valve tip has been gouged.I'm going to take this as an opportunity to upgrade the lifters, trays, pushrods, injectors, rockers, and heads.

I have been looking at the PRC LS6 stage 2.5 heads from TSP, are there any suggestions that would keep my in the same price range or should I just pull the trigger on these? I will be pulling off my current springs, and if they don't appear damaged, swap them to the new heads.

My tuner informed me that the factory injectors were running at 97% duty cycle with the mods already installed. I was looking at the Bosch 36lb/hr injectors, but would these supply enough fuel for the new setup? Also, at what point should I start looking at upgrading the rest of the fuel system?

Lastly, I have came across the Straub bushing kit for rockers. Would these be a better or worse choice over the comp cams trunnion upgrade?

Current mods: 224r TSP cam (224/224 int/exh dur, .600/.600 int exh lift), ls6 intake, slp lid, double valvesprings, ported tb, LT's, true dual, melling oil pump. Currently running 386rwhp/382rwtq.

As far as heads, the TSP Stage 2.5 are very good at a good price. If your springs have a lot of miles on them you would be ahead getting new ones. TSP can put a new set on the heads if you like. They are very reasonable. You have a choice of #1219 PAC .625" singles for $169 extra or TSP .660" duals for $250.
The Straub kit is far superior to the Comp kit, as bushings are proving far better than rollers. Do a search here for threads on this. Don't just take my word for it. LOL

Stay far away from the comp trunnions, I pulled mine out after 1,000 mi. to switch to a bushing style and they already showed lots of wear.

The Bosch 36 lb. injectors will be plenty for ya. That's what I run on the setup in my sig.

Here is a picture of my comp trunnions after 1,000 mi.

My springs only have about 2k miles on them, if that.

And based on your pictures, I'm gonna stay far far away from the comp kit. Have you checked on the bushings since install?

No I have not checked them but I'm not really even remotely worried about them now due to being a bushing style and much better quality trunnions as opposed to comps soft trunnions (stock do not wear like that) and a few needle bearings taking on most the load.

Yeah, if your springs only have 2K miles, keep 'em! Get the heads though, I think they'll do ya good! Plus the rocker bushing upgrade, along with the 36# injectors. I think you will be happy with the results. Best of luck to you!
