Question Release date of SLP ZL402

Any insiders know the exact release date of SLP ZL402 shortblock? It was supposed to be available about two months ago, but that was not so. SLP's site sucks *****. Should I just give them a call and find out?

No give someone else a call that will build you more for less.
Why trust a company like that for motor's?
They are mass producing them like everything else.
I would rather a different sponsor build one for me.

geez, what isn't massed produced for these engines

Seems like a great deal for the price. I doubt your going to find anything significantly cheaper, I know I've looked. Just add up the $$$ for the equivalent parts on your own build and see how much of a difference there actually is.

I think it is more of a peace of mind thing. If I had 2 identical motors sittin here, one from SLP, the other from a well known sponser, both the same price, I know what I'm going to get. I'll give you a hint, it's not SLP.

Each to his own. The thing is that the price will not be the same, the SLP WILL BE the cheapest 400+ c.i. motor out there. Lets face it, most people won't be spraying a 400 shot of nitrous, or running a twin turbo set-up pumping 20+psi, it's more than likely you won't need some 15 thousand dollar motor using Lunati internals. If I have the money to blow then hey I'd go the exspensive route to, but some of us can't justify or afford spending twice as much for a motor when it's necessary. Lets just wait and see how this engine performs, before we bag on a companies products and reputation. Peace.
