Engine chirp (not belts)
Engine chirp (not belts) Developed out of the blue while I was driving yesterday, thought it was belt noise at first. Speeds up/slows down with engine RPM. Persists after removing both belts. Sounded a little louder on the driver side, but didn't really seem like it was coming from under the valve cover although I haven't yet taken a look under the valve covers. Doesn't sound like a rod knock or lifter tap either. No noticeable issue with the car, not misfiring, hesitating, etc. Oil level is full and good pressure. Ideas?

Replying so I can keep up with this. I have the same noise that starts once the engine is warm.
I tore the top end down and found no signs of wear on lifters, cam etc.
please keep this updated so I know what I’m in for going forward.

Ya, I saw those. I was positive I had a bad lifter but they, as well as the cam, all looked good.
It's been almost a year since I've looked at everything as I lost interest in my project, but I am about to revisit this for winter wrenching.
