Default Custom grind or off the shelf

I'm swapping a 4.8 into a 78 Buick Electra, using parts that i've collected and want your opinion on cam choice. I'll be using a 350 trans, 3200 stall,10 bolt 3.73's with a truck intake CAI and shorty headers. (have LS1 & 6 also) Likely using 235/75/15 tires. I want off idle, stop light bruiser quality action.(idle to 5500) Extreme budget, yet purpose built is the theme. I'll be using a "cam package" approach with a tune. My opinion was Cam Motion or BTR.

With a TH350 and 3.73 gears, won't exactly be a freeway runner, huh?
For good off-idle to 5500, one of Cam Motion's milder cams would do you very well, like their 218/224, .553", 116 LSA. It has a nice performance idle(some lope) but strong from the bottom end to at least 5500. Put some good springs with it and you are good to go!
