Weld up chambers or flycut! Combo.
Been pondering a idea for a c5z06 build.
c5z06
50k mile ls6 engine.
I know advance induction can weld up the chambers, or you can flycut. Looking for near 11.5 static and 8.7 dynamic.
would like to run a bigger cam LIKE btr 4, sns 3, vindicator.
sell the ls6 intake a tb. Get the new Dorman manifold then clean it up, top it with a ls2 90mm.
local guy just put the torquemax 3 cam in his c5z06 did 442/404 on the local dynojet, headers pulley ported tb
I do not want to pull the engine.
I'm pretty certain with out porting just higher compression with the stock ls6 lightweight valves 450 460ish rwhp is possible and with porting 480 could be possible. I know dyno numbers are just numbers.
just looking for peoples opinion are on the weld up chambers or flycutting, which I have no experience doing. Maybe jake and darth and other smart fellers can shed some insight.
thanks alot jason.

Large Quench Area + Close Piston/Deck
Hi JD, many professional racing cylinder heads have "tight" chambers AND the piston is very close to the head.
Thus my choice is to Weld Chambers, very easy to do.

A.I. does the welding for higher compression to the 241/853 stuff. The 243/799 heads already have a smaller more efficient chamber. Could just mill them .020” and run .040” Cometic head gaskets for an easy 11.2:1 and a 228/232 Titan IV or similar will hit mid fours to the ground with LS2 intake/TB
