Default Does my timing look correct? Never done this!

Looking for input, I will fix whatever is necessary. I believe I have it straight up and down, or should I look for a better angle than looking down into the bay?

It looks like a shine actually, but it's a 0 right under it that I tried to make appear easier to the eye with a white mark. I can circle it and re-upload.

Is it the tooth DIRECTLY under the marked cam tooth? If so the timing is right!

Can't see it either. Shoot from a slight angle or don't use the flash if it went off when you took it.

I’ve got the same timing set, and it’s tough to see the zero, even in the shop sitting right in front of it.

The only way to tell if the timing is correct is to degree the cam. I just degreed the custom ground cam in my 4.8L and it was off 2 degrees, even though it was "dot to dot" on the timing set.

If your dot on the crank gear is at the white mark then yes you got it.

I've read several posts recently where cams were ground off a little so I agree degreeing the cam should be done.

But as far as dot to dot, you got it.
