Default Short blocks?

My local builder is backed up quite a bit
My current Motor has bad bearings in it right now, so back to the drawing board lol
I have a complete Mamo top end, So Ima just go the 408 route
Who do you guys recommend as far as ordering a short block from
Other than Thompson
or Texas speed who I haven't even got a email reply or anyone answer a phone call

Try LME or Tick.

There's not a lot of options anymore for folks I'd trust on a mail-order basis...

I was going to mention Thompson Motorsports until you mentioned they didn't respond back. That's to bad. I got my shortblock from them a few years ago, and they've always provided great customer service

I just called Texas Speed & spoke to a nice rep about a 408 short block. ?? Along with having a 383 short block, from them, in my car for 3 years.

The no response sucks but if multiple vendors aren't answering emails I would suspect an email problem on your end maybe? Maybe in your trash folder or something

Try calling man

No response from vendors is probably being swamped. No excuse, but thats what TSPs deal is. From what I've read here, when you can actually get ahold of them they are top notch.

Also very likely. When places are swamped usually people/builds in the store come first, then calls, then email. It's christmas season too, i'm sure they're all very busy.

I dealt with Lonnie @ texas speed with my heads and it was great, I asked a lot of questions and he took care of me. Even cut me a deal on an upgrade.
