Built LQ4 - What oil pressure? Hi All,
I have an LQ4 long stroke (403ci), what oil pressure should I expect? Cold idle pressure through to warm idle/higher rpm pressure.

It will vary greatly depending on what clearances you have on the mains/rods and cam, as well as weight of oil, and oil pump.
I have a bit more liberal set of clearances in mine with a shimmed pump and 5w30 mobil 1, and I have around 35#'s at idle when up to temp. It bumps to right at or near 60#'s under acceleration.
