Default O-ringing the block. Is it overkill?

On a all bore block, built for nitrous. Would there be any advantage? I already ordered the block with it, but I'm now wondering if it is needed. I plan to eventually spray in the 300 range.

Uhmm......Got studs? With the kind of cylinder preasure those bores are gonna see on a 300 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> shot, I would. I've seen high compression H/C cars lift heads. Yer call though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I would say do whatever your engine builder says! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> And yes you will need it with a 300 shot!

No such thing as overkill when it comes to protecting your motor.

Will o-ringing on an iron block running some decent studs prevent head lifting compared to just running good Commetic head gaskets/studs? I'd like to run my D1SC at 10-12psi with 9:1 CR but I'm worried about lifting the heads. Going to run 6.0 block, stock crank, forged rods/pistons with stage II heads.

My builder didn't suggest it, I did. But I'll stay with it, since it's already ordered. If Wade says I can put 400 to it, then dam it, that's what it's gonna get <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

"Software Jockey" Steve, what's up on that? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm coding some software at the moment out here at Nike, at least for the next couple weeks. Nothing major, but I'm feeling like a computer/software jockey while I'm doing it.
