Valve Clearance Issue?

Default Valve Clearance Issue?

Wondering if should I even bother checking valve clearance. Milled my 317 heads ~.030. Originally they were ~76cc now they're ~70cc.

I have -26cc dished pistons with valve relief.
Heads have 2.10" intake valves.
Cam is pretty mild .581 lift, 224intake, 220 exhaust, 116lsa.
.051" MLS gasket.

I'm thinking I don't need to worry about it. I was already running this setup before the .030" mill.

Thoughts?

I would check it, but I'm 90% sure that you have miles between the pistons and valves.

Just following up on this for anyone who finds this post years from now. Checked it. Tons of clearance. Even at TDC I have ~.400 of clearance when both valves are closed.

Piston to valve clearance is tightest around 9 degrees before and after TDC. Checking at TDC is of no use and doesn't tell you anything.

Checked there too, but no cam is opening >.400" in 15 degrees.
