Default LS1 with TSP 224/228 114LSA?

I installed this cam in my LS1 in my Fox Body in anticipation of adding a LSA blower. Long story short I have decided not to go LSA.

Current combo:

93 Coupe LS1 (2000 SS)
LS6 intake, TB, Holley 66# injectors
Texas Speed cam (224/228 114),springs, etc
Holley Dominator EFI
Tremec 3550
QuickTime bell housing
McLeod twin disc clutch
3.73 gears

Probably just going to throw a set of ported 243's on it along with a nitrous kit. So I'm curious how the cam would do with that setup? Cam swap of course is not a big deal, but I'm curious how the existing cam would do. The car is mainly a driver that will make the occasional weekend trips to the track. So good driveability is a must!

I'm also curious how it would just throwing a nitrous kit on the current setup, just like it is.

EDIT: I forgot to mention fuel system:
03 Cobra fuel tank
Fore Billet hat
Twin Walbro pumps
8an feed
6an return
Holley Billet fuel rails
Aeromotive return regulator

Any suggestions, comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

That cam should do fine with what you're planing on doing, but of course not ideal

I edited it while you were responding I guess lol.....

I'm also curious how it would do just throwing a nitrous kit on the current setup, just like it is.

Just run it the way it is and you should make decent power with good low end torque. If you tear it down to install ported heads then you could take the opportunity to install a more aggressive cam. In the mean time it should work with n2o just fine. What n2o kit are considering and how large of a shot?

Looking into that now lol. Probably going to run a Nitrous Outlet plate as a dry setup. Will be controlled progressively through my Holley EFI. I can use both inlets on the plate for Nitrous to make it a dual stage if I decide to go that route.

That cam should be just fine for what you are trying to achieve. The drive ability will be good, plus it should respond well to nitrous. Most nitrous spec'd cams are split to have more duration on the exhaust. Only thing you could do would be to go with something bigger, also split duration but with more overlap, but you start to loose your low end torque and it will be tougher to tune, but you'll get more out of it. I would keep the cam you have now based on what youre looking for out of the car.

Yeah I'm driving the car with it now. It drives GREAT, especially compared to the Texas Speed MS3 I had in it. The MS3 sure sounded good lol, but driveability in town was a little irritating. Not terrible, but with the 5-spd I had some "lugging" issues at low speeds. Like I said, not terrible, just enough to be irritating. It definitely drives better now, but definitely a lot quieter. Thanks for the response!

You have a preference? I was leaning towards a Nitrous Outlet plate kit. Maybe 150 or so?

Nitrous Outlet and Nitrous Express make nice kits IMO. I run a basic shark nozzle wet kit from NX with a 150 shot. Works great for me

Ok thanks. I'll be running a dry setup and controlling it progressively through my Holley EFI

I used to run a older NOS dry kit on my 04 Mustang. That was a great setup as well
