Default G5X2 w/ 382 Stroker?

Has anyone tried this cam out on a 382 yet? How does it idle? I'm currently running a Lunati 237/242 595/595 114LSA in my 382 with Stage I ported heads. Would the G5X2 give me more power since it's on XER lobes and 112LSA? Right now I'm only making 440rwhp 430rwt with Ed Wright mail tuning and it needs a dyno tune badddd.

Yes I am an M6 and the Lunati cam has a pretty choppy idle which I love and as far as drivability goes, it bucks at low rpm a bit but pulls hard as hell at high. The idle is set at 1000 rpm right now. I'm having all kinds of surging problems when the fans kick in and when I turn on the a/c and pretty much whenever it wants. Ed Wright still hasn't got it right yet with my program so I'm flashing back to stock and having MTI dyno tune it. Then I'll really know the drivability of this cam.

Wow Ruf SS, those are some nice numbers! I really need to get my heads ported and get LS1 Edit dyno tuning to get my numbers up. How much HP do you guys think adding stage II ported heads and LS1 Edit tuning would give me. I guess my cam puts out decent power since my heads aren't fully ported and my ECM isn't even close to being finished. I hope I gan get maybe 460 or higher by adding the heads & dyno tune.

i've got a Raging Motorsports stroker cam. 236/232, .602/.575 112lsa.
"one off" locally ported heads, very mild flow #'s.
457rwhp, 448rwtq. With good ls6 heads, I'd expect 480+ from mine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

mine's got a pretty choppy idle and has NO idling problems. can't imagine how you'rs would sound....
