243 heads on lm7

Default 243 heads on lm7

I’m putting 243 heads on a 5.3 lm7 I’ve read that they should be decked .030 is this to much?

Milling the heads .030" will put you around 10 : 1 cr.

What you using the motor for?

its going in a 94 Sierra daily driver/pick on imports

I'm not sure but I think you would have to use a 0.040 head gasket to achieve a 10.0:1 cr using 243 heads milled close to .030". Aftermarket cam? Measure ptv clearance , quench and pushrod length
