LQ4/4L80E for offroad
Im need to go through and rebuild my current setup, 2001 6.0/4l80e. This is in my offroad race buggy. It is a King of the Hammers style rig if you know what that is. Anyway, Im not the most computer savvy guy in the world, and I really dont have the time to search through the wealth of information here so I was hoping to get some real world advice on the right and reliable way to build my engine and trans. I have build engines and trans before, just need to know the right parts to go with. My goal is 450-500 hp, reliably, at the flywheel, and a super tough 4l80e. Thanks!!

King of the Hammers
Hi, many of my customers race the Baja, Sand Dunes, Off Road, Rock Racing.
I would like to help, there are MANY questions.
MY best method is to call you by phone.
I have done engine work for Iron Man, Walker Evens and Corkey McMillen.
MOST cases REQUIRE a SMOOTH IDLE at VERY LOW RPM for Rock Racing.

yep, decent idle, low rpm torque and hp. im not the type that drives between 3-7k. im on a budget like everyone else. I have read l92 heads are a bolt on, but can the 317s i have work w porting? I am running the truck intake, it would be nice to not have to change all the pulleys and stuff but im gathering the trailblazer ss is a great intake for cheap?? Id like to keep the motor under $5k leaves me couple grand for the trans, and couple grand for some misc maintenance and upgrades tune, ect.
right now the motor is bone stock. with a 2.5 to 3" then back to 2.5" all the way out back exhaust. it should flow good.
you have a business phone?
