Default Please Help. Head Swap Issues

I have a 2000 camaro ss ls1. I took off my 241 heads and replaced them with stock 243's. The car is cammed with fbo and tuned. I bought new gaskets head bolts etc. After putting the new heads on and driving it down road I notice my oil pressure reads good but 5 min go by and oil pressure drops to the red and will go up barely with me giving it gas along with the engine temp climbing as high as it can go. I notice some blue smoke out the exhaust as well off and on. No leaks oil level is good. Ive changed oil and filter twice, new coolant temp sensor, oil sending unit, thermostat. Still have the same issue!!!! Any advice will be helpful

Default Head Gasket Front/Rear

Hi Murphy, did you observe the "front" position marks on the head gasket ?

The OLD/NEW gasket has a Perimeter outline reference mark that can be seen at the deck from the outside of the crankcase/head parting line.

THUS you can tell front OR back of the gasket by external observation.

if you are still having trouble with the engine getting hot , try to pull the water pump and stick your fingers up into the heads through the block and see if it is blocked off, that will tell you if your head gaskets are on backwards.

Nothing else was changed besides swapping the heads? I can't think of any way the heads can affect oil pressure the way you describe unless it somehow prevents oil from draining back into the pan.
