Default Opinions of max RPM with mods.

Whats the highest recommended RPM range that stock rotating assembly can handle? Tuner pushed my RPMs to 6500 but says we can go higher, just wondering how high is too high. Car is not daily driver but is still going to be a street car with occasional track days so I need reliability.

Mods are as follows:

1. Torquer V2 Cam (232/234)
2. Pac .660 dual springs with titanium retainers
3. Manton 11/32 pushrods
4. Stock rockers with truinions
5. LS7 Lifters
6. PRC (799) 1.0 heads milled .030
7. 42 lb injector at 58 psi
8. Dorman LS2 ported (90mm)
9. Hollet 92mm Throttle Body
10. Delphi 85mm MAF
11. FTP 98 mm lid
12. 1 3/4 headers w/ off road y all the way out the back
13. still stock style clutch and flywheel but will be changed soon

Thanks to all.

I can't tell ya what's safe but I do spin mine to 7,000 and will probably bump it up another 100 this season

The bottom end can go fairly high but the valve train needs to be up to par (springs/rockers/lifters/pushrods)

Updated original post to include those parts.

I agree.

As far as the rest of the setup, the 1 3/4" headers w/ Y-pipe will hold you back a little bit. I would talk to Darth and others about what to do about your clutch too.
