Head Gasket Options
So, I have a set of PRC As Cast 225cc heads on order with 62cc combustion chambers that will be installed in my 00 T/A, with stock bottom end and Torquer V2 cam (just shy of .600 lift).
I'm likely going to go with a Cometic head gasket, .040" thick. Possibly a dumb question, but is this advertised thickness the measurement right out of the box, or is this the compressed thickness? If its not the compressed thisckness, is there anyway to determine this?
I don't expect any PTV issues with this head and cam, but is there any potential for it using the thinner gasket? I will check PTV clearance regardless, just looking for a heads up.
Finally, the gasket bore size. There are several options. Is 3.910" acceptable?
Thanks.

It's compressed thickness.
Use 3.9 or 3.91 if need be.
Measure for valve clearance, I'm not positive but I believe if you pull one layer off your factory headgasket it should be right around .040
Pull a layer off and measure and if it comes out right use the old ones when checking PTV

timing events can make or break the deal .whats the Lsa and ICL on the cam ? will it be installed with no advancing of the cam .call and ask TSP to make sure .or install cam and lifter, place head gasket and head on ,install 2 bolts loosely to keep head from coming off the block .install push rods and rocker arms on 1 cylinder ,then turn the engine over slowly by hand .
