Forged LS1 Lets say that I wanted to have forged LS1 in order to safely run with about a 100-150 shot of juice on top of a heads and cam set up. What all would I need. Would it be a better bang for the the buck if I went with a stroker kit? If I went with stock cubes, how much would all the forged components cost (ballpark)? The reason I am asking is that I always hear about people being crazy for spraying with stock internals and I would like some input from some of the more tech savy guys on here.
stock crank, forged rods and pistons, and new rings. i'd throw in new bearings while i was at it as well. you can pick up a forged setup for relatively cheap. or just buy a forged 346-347 shortblock from one of the sponsors. should run ~2800 + cores.
$2799 will get you a soild short block from us, our 347 Cheap Street. It includes Eagle H beam connecting rods, Diamond Forged Pistons, Diamond rings, Federal Mogul main bearings, Clevite rod bearings and is fully balanced.
If you go the stroker route your price is going to go up but the only real difference will be the cost of the crank it's self. If you need anything or have anymore questions please just let us know.
