GM Rod Bolt Verification Currently assembling the bottom end of an LQ4 (don’t know the year, but has pre-2004 head bolts) and need someone to verify that I am using the correct GM rod bolts.
The furrel on the old bolts are longer and fit snug into the rod cap as expected.
The new bolts (GM#11610158) have a a slightly taller head and a smaller furrel that fits loosely into the rod cap.
I was under the impression that GM rod bolts were all the same after 2000.
