I would like to hear one in an LS3, as it should decrease the slight lope a bit, reason being "displacement eats duration", lol. It just seems like a great cam now that it has some decent lift at .600".

I have one that I just got this week for my 6.0 but have not assembled the engine as of yet. Went with their springs, lifters and push rods.

I just dyno'ed my 1967 chevelle with it in a 6.0 today. It is a stick though. I still have to align the front end before I can give a driving opinion....

I have it in my '99 m6 hawk. Its a great cam that has a nice lope to the idle along with great street manners. I previously had the orignal GM version of this cam and it would surge and buck the car at low rpm cruising. That is completely gone now. Great low end torque and pulls harder up top. I picked up 5 mph in the 1/4 mile by switching to this cam.

Glad to hear there are some guys that are going with it. I've been on the fence about ordering this cam for my winter project. I have the stock stall now with 3.73 gears which really woke the car up. Other that that I have a lid, headers, exhaust and a tune. Didnt really want to put a stall in it, even tho the majority of forum members do. I just don't put that many miles on the car and dont wanna burn up my transmission. The website says you dont need a stall, thats why I was curious of drivability on a stock stall.

Just finished my nephews Silveraydo 6 liter build with 823’s and this cam. Got it tuned Wednesday and it absolutely will scoot. Still working on idle tuning with Holley 92 tb, but we are getting there. Choppy idle, and good power. Win win.

How was PTV clearance? Running stock pistons or aftermarket?

Bought hypereutectic flat tops from Ws6store, WITHOUT reliefs in them, and I had to cut my pistons on the exhaust side only. I cut them .030. I was looking for a better quench number, so I traded my .051” mls gaskets back to them for a set of .040” Cometics.
823 square port heads.

I just ordered one to go in my 2000 trans am. It has long tube headers and a GM55 converter. I plan to replace the springs and get a mail order tune and run it. Also have a dynotune n2o kit that hopefully finds its way into the car. This is turning into a true budget build, If I buy a tsp catback w cutout I think that will be the most expensive part Ive purchased LOL.

Im hoping this cam is a good daily/weekend street car cam. I didnt know 600 lift with on the higher side for an LS1, I liked the price tag and the sound at idle. Hoping its a good cam! Hard to find good reviews of it.

Any more updates on this cam and results? I’m gonna be getting PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads next year and really like the looks of this cam. At the present and for as little as I drive the car I just don’t want to pull my trans for a stall yet.

Tech@ws6store says that it works in automatic cars with stock stall converters, whoever posts on here for them has said they have driven stock stall HLHC cars so maybe ask them if they dont respond? I got mine in with the gm55 converter and its tight, I think my pcmforless tune isnt right because i fight a stumbling when I inch forward with my foot on the brake, basically to the lope of the cam. Could be a number of things I suppose but with a good tune I think you'd be fine. Personally I cant tell if the gm55 converter made any big difference, feels stock to me.

What gears are you running?

I say go for it. Not getting a stall is really going to limit the cam selection, but this cam isn't that small. If you install a stall down the road and dont like the cam, they arent hard to swap . Those heads are probably overkill for the cam, but without a stall I think your in a tough spot. Maybe something custom would do better?

The way things are looking I may just hold off on heads and keep it simple. I’m not really looking for a wild cam.
