Smoking parked on incline
Smoking parked on incline I've searched and can't find any thing. My 2005 2500hd 6.0. If I parked it on a hill nose up it smokes when start. No smoke on level or nose down hill. If sitting on level with race car and trailer hooked to it. It smokes on start up because nose in air. If I watch how I park it doesn't consume any oil. But if I don't it will between oil changes. Any ideas.

I'd pull both covers and get a look at them, see if either side looks blocked with sludge. Would have to be something blocking the rear oil return in the head. I've seen debris block return holes too like broken valve seals or believe it or nor pieces of paper or oil bottle seals. People actually drop crap into their engines without knowing or accident and if it can't get past the oil return that's where it stays. I seen pieces of paper towels too.
Might want to park it on a incline like you mentioned then pull the covers, should tell all.

Is it smoking from the exhaust pipe or just smoking from under the hood, possible bad valve cover gaskets and leaking out and dripping on to the exhaust manifold, as oil will puddle in the back of the head on an incline, causing it to leak out if you have faulty valve cover gaskets.
