Default [VR] Awakening a 4th Gen Z/28

This 28k original mile Camaro Z28 arrived to us from a local customer who was given the car from his father who had passed recently. The goal for the car was to put together a package to make the car perform and sound like he always wanted it to be, while putting drivability and reliability before anything else. For this, we comprised the following build package to help reach his goals and give even more enjoyment from the vehicle. This car will be hitting the local streets as well as some of the upcoming ½ and ¼ mile racing events throughout the season, so stay tuned for performance results coming soon!

Very cool. Interested to see track numbers. It begs for a 9" 3.70 gear steel DS and a 9.5" 3600 stall and a 28" tire.

I have a feeling the track numbers will be more impressive than the dyno numbers

Definently Will need more gear and stall with that cam though. It will be a dog down low.

I have a feeling this was built to be a highway runner/corner carver. Though the rear suspension arm relocation brackets will compromise handling to a degree. They are more of a drag racing mod.
But you may be right, with that cam some deeper gears might be needed even just to cruise.

Im sure they have their reasons. What I would do does not matter.

Which converter was it that was used for this setup? The StreetBrawler?

The car actually works great on the street. It's not the biggest camshaft, As Cast cylinder heads, 11" torque converter, and a SLP header/exhaust combo that the customer had on previously. It's definitely not a record setting combination but something that worked for the customer's goals and budget.
