After running my 5.3l with milled 862 heads and a z06 cam for 5 years i decided to build a 6.0l to see if i can get a little more power. I got a set of 862 heads cheap and ported and polished them. I also have some 2" intake valves going in there and a used 224r cam. There are a lot of speculations back and forth on this topic. My setup is used in a 3200 pound truck for autocross and it pulls great now. I will see soon how this works. I know of a few people online that have had success with this setup. Hopefully i will as well. Not sure where you are at with your build but i can keep you posted if your interested.
