losing crank sync bent reluctor?

Can probably fit a penny in the gap. Didn't have one on had spent them all building this nightmare lol. While I had it down I did get a chance to order an uncut crank so I can run good bearings at least. Only found stock replacement's that would fit and wasn't too keen on sending the engine over 7500 with them in it.

Maybe I missed it, but is the motor back and running with the Callie's billet reluctor and you've rev'd it to the same rpm and no breakup?

i have not got a chance to swing the engine in yet. This weekend ill have it ready to run though.

Im staring at a crank sensor right now and pretty sure it's wide enough it would read the pulses with a penny gap so I'll be curious if this solves your problem and what else may have changed at the same time.

thrust, the fact the wheel separated towards the front of the engine and the sensor is in the rear. it would progressively get worse the warmer the engine became, so it didn't affect it from running. Once the car lost sync if it didn't get time to catch up it would keep losing sync as well. I'll get the engine in and once it runs correctly shut the case and assume it was from the wheel or crank i just didn't want to have to pull the engine again if the wheel didn't help.

I also would like to say that i ran the last engine (370ci) to 7400 rpms with same everything besides short block obviously. So computer shouldn't be the problem neither should the harness. the 6.0 was a 24x reluctor as well

A combo of split wheel and thrust issues would make more sense.

Car runs out now no more loss of sync, now we just need to tune past 6400 rpms it was a tad rich.
