Valve train noise
Just installed new comp cam, matching push rods, matching beehive valve springs new comp cams trunnions in LS 6 heads.
I now have valve train nose. Is this normal or should I look for a problem component. The Ls 1 has good power and Dynoed at 404 hp to the wheels. Any one have similar problems?

Yup, The Cam and all the Valve train hard ware was matched including the Push Rods. If there was an issue the Builder would have addressed it with me at the time of assembly. The only other thing that was not replaced was the Roller Lifters.

Welcome to world of modified LS engines. You are gonna have valvetrain noise. It can be decreased with different pushrod lengths, better rocker trunions, and perfect valvetrain geometry but it will always sound like a sewing machine. The best way is to crank the stereo.
Both of my LS engines are quiet, both have aftermarket cams, one is larger than the other but both valvetrains are quiet, TSP says this is partly due to the new profile of the newer 228r which I a great cam, I guess I'm lucky or did something right. Have fun.
I have used this builder on two other motor builds and he has always let me know when there has been issues. I'm going to change out the lite oil I"m using now and go with a heaver grade. What do you guys think?
rI have to agree I am using Lucas 20-50 anyway with the Lucas oil additive. The other stuff is to light for the kind of abuse I will put this LS1 throught. Hopefully all the new parts will be well broken in after the trip and the valve train will be a little quitter.
