Default Bad Smell

I had a a small 220 cam, Flowtech headers installed and dyno tuned. I'm getting a strong smell from the exhaust. Gives me a headache Can this be caused by the car running too lean? On the dyno the A/F ratio is 12.8-13.0.

I know there is supposed to be some smell; but this smell is too strong. I've had other people validate that. Is it possible if you richen the car up some it might get rid of some of the carbon monoxide smell? My clothes smell after driving with the windows open.

sounds like maybe an exhaust leak.....
If its leaking at the header/head connection... you can get a pretty strong smell in the car sometimes..especially if its near a body grommet.....

FYI, carbon monoxide (CO) is odorless... that's why you need a "carbon monoxide detector" in your house rather than just relying on *SNIFF SNIFF* hey, do you smell that?

Furthermore, a 12.8:1 AF ratio is hardly lean.. you're pig rich and that smell is the unburned hydrocarbons from your exhaust. Get a Tune
