Any update on the 225 availability?

Think about it this way. If you have a small cam with no overalap and X compression, it going to be different than the same compression in a big cam motor with lots of overlap bleeding off cylinder pressure.
Jrod,

Overlap doesn't bleed off compression.

Humpin,

AFR has great products that I have used and am also almost always happy with but that doesn't mean they are the only ones that can port heads. 90 per cent of the head porters out there are not exactly great but there are some that are and understand what is going on. We have stock ported LSx castings capable of right at 800 hp. Saying that I am really looking forward to seeing the 225s and in fact even the 205s if we can keep them on the shelf again. The only ones we've recieved were sold IMMEDIATELY!

The Ford heads are also great from AFR. We just had a set make almost 670 at 7300 rpm on a 418 at SAM and we'll do some tuning this next week to make more and bring it down in rpm a little too! Some of the Ford head porters and gurus on "another" site were giving it 550 hp and 6500 rpm! These heads flowed within 1 percent of what AFR said they would as most of them have on our bench.
