I called a while back and Lunati tech guy said that they did not even make a solid roller cam yet for a LS1.

a Comp solid roller core and a hydraulic roller core are the very same core..both billet..just different lobe profiles..or you could just put solid roller lifters on a hydraulic profile and have a gentle solid roller

If you meant use solid roller lifters on a hyd. roller profile, then you're thinking is off. Solid roller cam profiles actually ease up a lot less violently than agressive HR's because otherwise the lifter can bounce off the lobe and cause problems. A HR roller can adsorb some of that and therefore use more agressive initial lobe profiles but a SR has to be eased on for that reason.
