New rings or replace pistons
A while back I tried to source some aftermarket pistons to fit the stock rod and couldn’t. I wouldn’t attempt to bore the block. You’ll never get away with 20 anyway. And technically to do it the right way even swapping pistons will need to be balanced. A lot of people don’t though. If your pistons look like hell I would use stock replacements even used and use new rings rods mains cam bearings lifters oil pump timing set etc and run it. Make sure the machine shop removes the front freeze plug for the oil galley and the barbell and cleans that well. A lot of machine shops don’t know as much as you’d think. Also you’ll need new valve covers and coil brackets for the newer heads.

Hi Rockey, the piston quote you asked for will have a LOWER/Equal Weight.
THUS NO NEED to rebalance !
POST your piston/pin/ring weight ?

Is that what the Dexcool debate looks like? I've never actually seen pics of it. I'm not trying to start a debate, so please, nobody bite. Just curious if that's typical for the older
cars that have ran Dexcool for Hundreds of thousand of miles...
