Default 243 heads, valve events, PTV

With a stock LS6, how many degrees from TDC can the EVC and IVO events get (@ 0.050) before PTV becomes a problem?

I realize the only way to really know is to measure, but I won't be able to do that until I've already bought the cam... So I'm looking for a rough idea before I buy the cam, in hopes of not buying a cam that fails that test.

Thanks!

I start checking PTV at stuff above 230º if its on a 112º or tighter. Havent seen one come closer than .090" yet, even with +.650 lift in a flat top piston 6.0 truck motor.

With my 239/244 112+3 .635" .610"
I had .040" intake .060" exhaust with my 243's milled .030" and running a .040" head gasket

I'm guessing that I'll be going with something in the mid 230s at 114 or so. Just big enough to be concerned.

That's great, thanks... and that's huge. Are you really running that with 5.7 liters?
Your cam has 10 degrees IVO and 7 EVC, and I'm pretty sure mine will be closer to 6 and 2, so if yours works I'm in no danger.

I'm guesstimating at most 232/238 at 114+4, maybe a little smaller. Definitely nowhere near 17 degrees of overlap.

Lol yup, H/C/I/E Ls1
It really flies above about 6300 rpms. I spin it to 7100 and think it would love to be spun a bit higher but I'm still on stock rod bolts. Last season I was running a 4000 stall and the transmission let loose which is fine because my setup needed a bit more rpms on the shift extensions so I had it restalled to a 4400. Shooting for around 10.7 - 10.8 @ around 125 mph at close to full weight.
