how strong
i have a 6.0 short block i bought a few weeks ago. i have finally layed out my plan for my build up and am getting started. i have a few questions about how strong my engine should be. if i use the stock crank with forged manley rods and diamond forged pistons with a 4.030" bore iron block how strong should that be, how much nitrous should it be able to hold safely? Also, are the main bolts and studs reusable? i pulled the motor apart a few days ago and was wondering if i could reuse them. lastly, are the rod bearings capable of being reused from the stock ones when i get the new manleys? thanks for any help guys.

Re: how strong
Even though some people sware on changing the crank i have seen many people run the stock crank with 600hp w/n2o with out a problem. The main bolts and studs are resusable, but the head bolts are not. If you plan on running a lot of n2o then i suggest you replace them with a set of arp bolts. Especially with nitrous. I think the set for the heads and mains are around 300.00 in summit. If the main/rod bearings havent been used then yes they are resuable, but i would make sure to check the clearances between your new rods before slaping it together.
