Default 5.3 to 5.7 by changing pistons and crank??

Is it possible to just stroke the 5.3 to yeild the displacement of 5.7 by changing the pistons and the crank? With a longer stroke does that equal more displacement.

They use the same crank.

You need to bore the block and swap pistons to get from 5.3 to 5.7

Changing the bore and/or stroke will change displacement. Stroking the 5.3L to a 5.7L is possible, but way more expensive than just boring the block out.

Every LS except the 4.8 and the 7.0 has the same stroke.
