Thanks 427. I have been wanting an LS6, not a Fast, so I guess I will wait and see.

The HP gain is due to a little difference in plenum design and the 90mm T\B setup. They are a 3 piece design and use the same 4-bolt flange layout as a FAST\TPIS 90mm so they will bolt right up. So I feel that they will be a good mod for the money spent.
Do you have any idea how much the LS2 will cost?

Default Power from LSx

You need to be reading more. Please check Popular Hotrodding and Hot Rod Magazine last two months. the LSX intake does almost nothing on a stock motor. Throttle body or not, Increase the air intake and exhaust capabilites with a cam and headers, and the LSX intake begins to shine. Based on that information, I would imagine, that the LS2 intake would do the same, by that I mean nothing on a stock motor, but add a cam and headers and it would shine also. The real question is approx 30hp worth $1300.00

Unless you have an LS1 intake or you have a 224 + duration cam, swapping to the LS2 would not be worth it.
The LS6 is plenty untill 450+rwhp.
90mm TB and intake will need all induction mods also otherwise it would be like sucking through a straw.
There is always the new BBK SSi that has porting/matching capabilities and is said to make 15% more flow than LS6. And before you say it, heat soak is not an issue on the street (Loss is super minimal)

Ditto That is what I am waiting for too. That with LS6 MAF and custom air intake should work well

I may be misunderstanding, but to get the gains of the LS2 over the LS6, one would need a larger, say 85+ mm maf, lid, and tb?

I don't read magazines. I gave that up after someone knocked off 4 tenths after sticking a Hypertech programmer and 160 thermostat in an LT1. Of course Hypertech ads appeared on several pages of the magazines. I don't trust magazine articles. Oh, they mentioned somewhere in the article that "before" was in 90 degree weather, and "after" was in 40 degree weather, with no correction. Just "gained 4 tenths". Yes, this was in a "respected" magazine.

I talk to engine builders and dyno owners, as well as paying attention to who has problems with it (there have been), and what other cars are dynoing.

As for stock motor... Not here. As for bolt ons... Name one. I have that. Name another. I have that too.

Can I get an AMEN brotha!!! The only thing magazines are good for is paint ideas. You can see some good paint schemes that you might not normally see and it might be something you would incorporate into your car.
