Low Oil Pressure LS1 Newbie here, so take it easy on me. I have a 2000 corvette with a 95K mile LS1. My issue is oil pressure. When cold, It runs high 30s. At hot idle, it'll dip into the low teens. I was planning on doing a cam swap this winter with a new oil pump, but I'm concerned the bearing could be the oil issue. Any professional opinions out there? I did replace the ops in the spring, so I have no reason to believe the readings are incorrect.

Not a professional but it sounds to me like a clearance issue meaning that your bearings could be worn causing less of restriction through them thus causing low oil pressure. There are other things that can cause this as well such as a clogged or sludge'd up pick up tube, worn o-ring on the pick up tube, worn oil pump. I have an 05 Tahoe with a 5.3 I bought used and I've noticed my oil pressure starts to get low once I'm nearing my oil change and once I put a new filter and oil in it goes back up to it normal range.
